Oh so very pretty, lovin your colours. That is going to be one heck of a lot of seam match ups - I only say this because my current work is squares too and it sits mocking me on my design wall as I fret about the seam match ups haha!!!

I can get down with this, definitely. It is giving me a topography feel as it is, and I think it really benefits from that. Keep going with this fade of colour in and out, it makes it much more visually interesting! (As I just throw my unrequested opinion out there … ick, excuse me!)
